Learn from an experienced tutor in a working clinic

The course is delivered by Vector Training, a CIMSPA Education Partner and FHT-accredited provider, inside the Optimal Movement clinic at Shrewsbury Business Park. You’ll train in a real treatment environment, with small group sizes that guarantee plenty of hands-on time and direct feedback throughout the day.

A practical, immediately applicable skillset

Cupping isn’t a gimmick. Used well, it’s a useful adjunct for managing soft tissue restriction, modulating discomfort, and supporting recovery — and clients increasingly ask for it by name. By the end of the day you’ll have the techniques, the rationale, and the safety knowledge to integrate dry cupping into your existing sports massage practice with confidence.

Insurable on completion

Once qualified, the FHT accreditation enables you to obtain professional insurance to apply myofascial cupping in your own practice — meaning you can start using what you’ve learnt the following week.

Course Content
  • History and physiology of dry cupping
  • Static cupping techniques
  • Sliding (gliding) cupping
  • Soft tissue release with movement
  • Active stretching techniques using cups
  • Integrating cupping into a sports massage treatment
  • Contraindications, client screening, and health and safety considerations
Entry Requirements

Learners must hold a recognised Level 3 Sports Massage qualification (or equivalent), or be enrolled on a relevant therapy or rehabilitation degree programme. If you’re unsure whether your qualification meets the criteria, get in touch before booking.

Assessment

Practical assessment throughout the day, with a final demonstration of cupping techniques applied within a sports massage treatment. On successful completion, you’ll receive an FHT-accredited certificate.
